The High Impact Fund I, LP (HIFI) elected to close to new investors on September 1st, 2023 after raising approximately $10.6M from investors, announced the fund’s General Partner, Impact Investors, PBC (Impact Investors).
SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 13, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ — Impact Investors formed HIFI in 2020 in response to a then year plus long discussion with certain of its existing high net-worth investors regarding a perceived market opportunity to establish a fund to invest not only for returns, but also purposefully. At the end of Impact Investor’s diligence and discussion process, the themes determined to be most important to prospective investors in an impact fund were twofold: climate change mitigation and reducing the wealth gap.
While directly investing in private placements often requires a substantial investment exceeding $1M per investor, for the same comparative dollar amount, HIFI provided for that same investor to obtain exposure to a diversified pool of impact investments, both reducing any investor’s exposure to a single issuer, but also allowing for a greater opportunity to invest in more impact opportunities through a fund vehicle.
Earlier this year Beyond Capital Ventures announced a strategic partnership with Impact Investors, in which they noted the importance of this fund’s commitment:

While most of the fund’s investors were existing wealth management clients at Impact Investors, the fund has attracted new investors, including three investors through another firm, Natural Investments, an RIA and national leader in the Socially Responsible Investment advisory field for over 30 years with more than $1.6B in AUM.
